#support Policy

This is an agreement ('Agreement') between you and the Xtris Network. This Agreement governs your use of our network, website and Services. This Agreement may be updated from time to time with or without notice to you.

In this document, throughout the website and on any correspondence to you, the Xtris Network may be referred to as: 'we', 'our', 'us', 'The Xtris Network', 'Xtris', 'Xtris IRC Network' & 'Xtris Network'. Connection to and use of the Xtris Network is conditional upon acceptance of any and all applicable policies of the Acceptable Use Policy and its Indemnify and Hold Harmless clause.

In consideration of your use of the Service ('Service'), you represent that you are of legal age (13 and over) to use any Xtris service (see our COPPA document for information) and are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of your country or applicable jurisdiction.

Please be advised that full members of staff (Support Helpers, Network Helpers, Staff Trainers and IRC Operators) willl assist you in PRIVMSG after you have been assigned a helper; however, Trial Helpers will assist you in the channel only - please comply with this requirement
No idling; you will be removed if you park or idle in the channel
Please do not /MSG, /NOTICE, /CTCP or /DCC any of the operators until invited to do so; the channel is operated in a queue-like fashion
No underline, colours, control codes or mark-up in the channel; text enhancements make the channel more confusing to follow
No public away or script messages. Only your friends need to know if you're away; the entire channel doesn't. We also don't need to know what music you're listening to or what you're currently doing
No profane nicks and/or profane addresses; please control yourself. We don't use profanity, and we certainly don't expect to see you use it
No racism, sexism or prejudice of any kind. This includes racial slurs or personal attacks against someone because of their nationality, religion, gender, etc. We all have the same hopes and dreams for a good life
No auto-rejoins; kicks are used as a punishment, receiving them with an immediate rejoin defeats this purpose
No advertising of any kind (advertising any other channel, website, etc). Offering a channel or website that is pertinent to the ongoing chat is allowed (i.e., Xtris website links, guidance into another Official Help channel, etc)
Don't ask to ask; this is unnecessary as we're here to help you
Be polite, and where possible, speak the English language
Swearing or other forms of threatening, abusive, harassment, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable behaviour is strictly prohibited
No flooding (3 lines of text or more) unless you have been given express permission
No repeating; unless a long time passes without an answer to your question, you will need to be patient
Excessive CAPS is considered shouting; it will not get you noticed any quicker and will just annoy staff and other users
Do not overuse characters such as '!' and '?'. One or two are all that are needed to emphasise something
Please type your question in one line (if possible); one word lines are very annoying!
