New website Language Finder & Country List
|
Aug31
|
By Jo on Aug 31, 2007 12:35 AM |
The Xtris website now features two new pages: "Language Finder" & "Country List", located in the "Support" menu or under the 'Support Department' title.
The "Language Finder" allows you to select a language and check which staff members speak that language. This will further support you in the request of staff speaking your native language, or urge you to join our Support Department via the Recruitment Committee.
If no one is listed, why not join us? We are currently welcoming International staff applications, primarily from Australia and the surrounding countries.
Similarly, the "Country List" will show you each distinct country we are serving you from, along with the people that live there. This will aid you in finding members of staff who are in your locale.
As always, remember, here at Xtris, it's "You first!". In order to bring new innovations in the delivery of support, we are currently running a Support Survey; if you have a spare few moments please participate! This can also be found from the "Support" menu

A Network Status section has been added to the Xtris Main home page!
Here you will be able to see the immediate status of the Xtris Network, and you will also be able to click to the more detailed Network Status page to get information of any maintenance or outage.
Planned maintenance news posts will be scheduled and announced in advance. When completed, this post will be edited to add [COMPLETED], and this [COMPLETED] message will remain until the next news bulletin is added.
Unplanned network outage news posts will also be announced as they occur. When resolved, this news post will be edited to add [RESOLVED], and as before, this [RESOLVED] news post will remain until the next news bulletin is added.
It is our hope that you find this information beneficial and use it as a first reference whenever you may have a question about Xtris Network's operating status.
Thank you for using Xtris ... where it's You First!

The Xtris staff would like to wish you and your families a very happy Easter.
If I could give you just one wish
This Easter it would have to be

A world free of conflict
A world free of suffering
A world of goodwill and cheer
So at this special time of year
Accept this token of my love
A gift from me to you
And have a
Happy Easter
And my very best wishes
For the remainder of the year

Channel Ownership Policy Change
|
Feb18
|
By Dawn on Feb 18, 2007 05:14 PM |
The ChanReg policy section has been updated as follows with immediate effect to read...
Ownership changes:
If the owner (level 500) of a channel has been away for 14 days or more, a member of the user-list may request ownership of a channel. We will only offer ownership to the next highest active operator, of level 300 access or higher (to prevent the channel from naturally expiring).
The next highest active operator will need to join #support for this change to to be actioned.
Definition of 'Highest Active Operator': If the owner has been away for 2 weeks and there is a 499 level operator seen in the last 2 weeks, only that 499 user could receive ownership - or someone else with equal access who is active. If a 498 requests ownership when a 499 has been active, ownership will NOT be given. Everyone ABOVE you must have been away for at least 2 weeks, without them already notifying the Support Department of their absence
Please note, we will only change ownership under the following circumstances:
If the owner's account is NOT set to VACATION.
If no other operator with higher access than you has been active in the past 2 weeks (1 week and 6 days is not acceptable)
We anticipate this change will simplify ownership changes.

The Support Department Staff

Our subconscious minds have no sense of humor, play no jokes and cannot tell the difference between reality and an imagined thought or image. What we continually think about eventually will manifest in our lives.
