We are pleased to announce the availability of a new Flash IRC Client, lightIRC.
You can find this by clicking on the 'Web Based Chat' link within the "Community" menu.
We are still offering our classic Java Chat too; you make your selection between Java/Flash on the WebChat page.
We proudly include RADIOSTIL's flash radio player on the Flash IRC Client too - give it a try today!

New NickServ Titles Utility!

We are proud to announce the availability of the new NickServ Titles Utility which will allow you to update your NickServ title directly from the Xtris website.
NickServ titles are the interchangeable ".user" part of the standard user@account.user.xtris hostname which are available once your hidden host is activated using "/mode yournick +x" (for more information see this FAQ).
This utility will allow you to change your title three times per 30 days.
We have a robust list of titles available, so take a look today!
Remember that #support is always on hand to help should you run into any problems.

On behalf of the Network Management team we are delighted to announce that Cristian will be joining us as a Network Manager with immediate effect.
During Cristian's time on the network he has proven himself to be loyal, knowledgeable and having the network's best interests at heart. He has proven his leadership skills and we are confident he will drive Xtris forward in every way possible.
We wish Cristian every success in his new role. Be sure to say congratulations!

mIRC v7.1 released

On July 30th, 2010, a new version of the popular IRC client, mIRC was released.
This new release has converted the client to Unicode, meaning those in foreign languages should find a lot more support for their language-specific-characters.

Our Server Listings have once again been revised to reflect some changes in our network operation.
The server Chicago.IL.US.Xtris.net has been removed from the network and a replacement, Irvine.CA.US.Xtris.net, added (located in Irvine - California, USA). This was due to a datacenter move.
DNS entries have been updated accordingly. As always, you can keep up to date with our servers by visiting the Server Listings page, or you can view the current status of our servers on the Network Status utility.
The DNS roundrobins such as irc.xtris.net, irc.eu.xtris.net and irc.us.xtris.net will randomly choose a server for you.
We appreciate your patience and patronage.
